Starting the next series

On to the next round, time for the serious muscle building! Today was chest and back and ab ripper. I love pushups!! Though I am a little intimidated by the medicine balls:( I need more of them for starters:) pull ups seem to be a guy thing too. I know when I did p90x I developed a really broad back. So if I don't go too crazy on the pull ups I'm ok with that.
The food front is once again my challenge. This week I am structuring it more and going hard at developing a new habit. 3 meals 2 snacks, and 200 calories of guilt free food! Chocolate or candy. Maybe that will balance out my need to rebel! Lol
Here we go!
How is your journey going??

Day 4 of p90x 2

Well p90x total body workout rocks!!! 67 minutes of all over moves. I can't do push ups on medicine balls yet, but I know I have something to aspire too. It's great to get your heart rate up during a primarily resistance workout. The new ab workout is great as well. No traditional crunches but I am sure I will feel it tomorrow:) its amazing how working out makes you take care of your diet more too. I have been treating myself to some treats, but making sure that they fit into my calorie total foe the day. I think it's important to not deprive myself in that way, for me DIETS DON'T WORK!! I need a balanced common sense approach to eating. Yay!! So far it's working. How very exciting!! BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. P90X2!!! Day 1

Well, here we are at the beginning of 2012. Always the perfect time to try a new challenge.
Two years ago I started the new year with p90x and loved it! This program is the latest evolution in fitness and I am so excited about it.
Now, I have been a fitness fanatic at points in my life but the last 6 months have been a real struggle for me. I seemed to have lost my mojo so to speak. But here I am, back in the game in a big way. I'm the next 90 days losing 25 pounds is on the agenda! I think it will be a side benefit as I regain my fitness level and strength as well as my balance of healthy nutrition.
The p90x2 nutrition plan is easy to follow with lots of options. For myself I am following the standard plan as closely as possible. I find that the cleaner I eat, the better I feel. Just have to try to remember that when a plate of chocolate chip cookies is staring at you!
The day 1 workout had some moves that were tough for me and some that we're easy. Balancing on a medicine ball to do push ups or a stability ball to do burpies will require some practice!
Will check in with you again tomorrow after the next workout!

A New Challenge

The new challenge I have started today is to lose 10 pounds by July 31. No small task given that the next two weeks are insane!! This is a real chance to test the plan! And here it is:
Chalene extreme 3x per week. With each extreme workout I will do a turbo fire hiit workout. On the non weight training days I will do longer steady state cardio for a minimum of 45 minutes. Thus could be a turbo fire workout, a run, or an interval walk/ jog. I also will add 3 extra evening cardio workouts and a yoga workout on Sunday.
I know this sounds like a lot but u want to make sure I create a bigger calorie deficit. Along with this I am following a lower carb diet with plenty of vegetables and lean protein. The bigger
Challenge for me is going to be eliminating my evening snacking! Whenever I see a real low calorie count by that time of day, I seem to feel like I need to eat all the extras!!
Today I got all my workouts in, and had a great day with food.,so excited that this goal is going to become a reality!!
